COURSE LEGNTH: 2 YEARS
CONTACT HOURS: 25+ PER WEEK
Our Sixth Form Performing Arts students follow an exciting and varied timetable, allowing them to develop their specialist talents, whilst at the same time exploring and discovering new skills and disciplines. This course, aimed at performers aged 16-19 years, is designed to allow each student obtain the fundamentals of each discipline and to grow in all areas across the 2-year course.
The first year of study focuses on building foundations across all performing arts areas, building exposure to audition content and audition technique.
In second year students develop their artistry and hone in on individual skills, with 1-2-1 singing lessons and allocated 1-2-1 monologue support, to prepare them for the next step in their training journey.
The PAD timetable across each year consists of:
At The PAD our Sixth Form students thrive in an environment where the cohort is small, but the contact hours are high. We get to know each and every student, developing their strengths and helping them to uncover who they could be as a unique, professional performer.
Understanding the foundations to acting, singing and dance, The PAD welcomes Performing Arts students with a passion for the arts and a natural talent in a particular specialism. However, students are expected to tackle all areas of their training with equal vigour and be open to exploring a variety of skills, allowing them to achieve their full potential whilst training at The PAD.
We are looking for raw talent that can be developed; a passion to perform and a willingness to learn and explore your full potential. Experience in all areas is not necessary as full training across the disciplines is provided.
Students should have achieved at least 5 GCSE’s with minimum of Level 4 achieved in English Language and Mathematics to show that they will be able to cope with the demands of a Level 3 course.
Should a student not meet these requirements, please be aware that we may withdraw an offer or that the student will be required to attend sessions in Maths and English alongside their vocational training hours.
